TEXTILE PRINTING
At RGL Promotions, we offer a range of professional textile printing methods to suit different garments, artwork styles, and order sizes. Our processes include DTF (Direct to Film) printing, single colour vinyl, full colour transfer, and screen printing, allowing us to recommend the most effective solution for both quality and durability.

Suitability & Recommendations
-
DTF (Direct to Film) printing is our most versatile and recommended process. It is suitable for cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, caps, sportswear, and performance garments. DTF allows for detailed designs, vibrant colour, and excellent durability, making it ideal for both small and large orders without compromising quality.
-
Single colour vinyl printing is best suited for simple logos or text in one colour. It is popular for workwear and branding where bold, clean graphics are required. However, it is not recommended for garments that are tumble dried at high heat.
-
Full colour transfer printing is ideal for photographic images or complex designs containing gradients, shadows, or multiple colours. It offers excellent print clarity but is generally less versatile than DTF when it comes to garment types.
-
Screen printing is best suited to large quantity orders with simple designs. As each colour requires a separate screen, it becomes less cost-effective for multi-colour artwork or small runs.
Inks, Colours & Print Quality
-
Our DTF prints use premium inks and are produced with a focus on quality rather than speed. This ensures vibrant colours, excellent opacity, and long-lasting results. DTF prints are highly durable, typically lasting 50–100+ washes when cared for correctly. For colour accuracy, we use a Pantone colour bridge platform to match colours as closely as possible to your specified Pantone reference.
-
Single colour vinyl is available in 50+ colours, including special effect options such as glitter, metallic, fluorescent, and mirrored finishes. Vinyl is heat applied at 180°C, creating a strong bond that outperforms standard “iron-on” methods.
-
Full colour transfer printing is produced at up to 720dpi, delivering sharp, bright, high-resolution prints with no limit on the number of colours used.
-
Screen printing applies ink directly to the garment, producing strong, long-lasting prints, particularly effective on larger designs and high-volume runs.

Artwork & Setup
-
DTF printing requires no weeding and minimal setup, making it highly efficient for detailed or multi-colour designs. Artwork can be supplied in most standard formats - ideally vectorised PDF or as a transparent .PNG and we handle preparation to ensure optimal print quality.
-
Single colour vinyl artwork must be supplied as clean vector files, as designs are cut from pre-coloured vinyl using a computer-controlled blade.
-
Full colour transfer printing also requires vector artwork, with a pre-defined cut line created around the design to ensure accurate application.
-
Screen printing requires the most setup, as each colour in the design is separated and produced on its own screen, which is why costs increase with additional colours.
